Overview
Chris Brown graduated from the Washburn University School of Law in 2003 and served as an Assistant District Attorney in Johnson County, Kansas after having interned in that office while in law school. While a member of the DA's office, Chris prosecuted a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony cases, handling jury trials involving crimes including homicide, rape, aggravated indecent liberties, aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, involuntary manslaughter, theft, and felony DUI.
In January 2010, Chris was promoted to Section Chief of the Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit of the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. In 2012, he joined what is now the firm of Gyllenborg & Brown, P.A. Chris represents adults and juveniles charged with offenses ranging from traffic matters to serious felonies. He has been selected to the "Super Lawyers for Kansas" each year since 2018. He has also been named a "Top 100 Trial Lawyer" by the National Trial Lawyers' Association and was awarded the Client Satisfaction Award by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys.
