Overview

Laura is a licensed attorney practicing in the South-Central Kentucky region with a concentration in trademark, copyright, and patent law. She advises clients on brand protection and enforcement, conducts clearance searches, and prepares and prosecutes trademark applications. Her experience also includes counseling on copyright registration, licensing, and infringement matters and patent searches, infringement matters and prosecution.

Laura has assisted clients in obtaining U.S. and international trademark and patent rights and routinely provides guidance on related issues such as noncompete agreements and IP-related contracts. She also contributed to the development of Western Kentucky University’s intellectual property policy for its faculty and researchers.

Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Laura has extensive experience in trademark prosecution, evaluation of products for patent protection, as well as in preparing licenses, agreements, and opinion letters on infringement and validity issues, which allows her to deliver clear, practical advice tailored to her clients' needs.
