A 1979 magna cum laude graduate of Western Kentucky University, Mr. Bachert received his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in Lexington, Kentucky, with high distinction in 1982. The same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Kentucky and later in Tennessee, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Mr. Bachert has held several prestigious positions in legal organizations including as the chair of the Kentucky Bar Association – Commercial Code Committee and the panel bankruptcy trustee of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky. He is also part of the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

Mr. Bachert is honored in several ways for his professionalism, services and accomplishments. He has been rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, named among the 2013 Top Rated Lawyers in Commercial Litigation by American Lawyer Media, and selected for inclusion in the Kentucky Super Lawyers listing.
