Attorney Information
Overview
Nathan began his legal career at Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald, a large regional law firm headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. The experience and perspective he gained defending some of the worlds' largest corporations in high profile litigation is invaluable in his practice now as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney. Knowing how the other side thinks and works is crucial in getting cases successfully resolved. Nathan's career also includes living overseas for a year in the Middle East where he was in-house counsel for a large corporation in Dubai.
Nathan attended the University of Kentucky College of Law on a Wethington Fellowship where he received his Juris Doctor. He graded onto the Kentucky Law Journal in the top 15% of his class and also served on the Trial Advocacy Board. Nathan was also active in University of Kentucky's Legal Clinic where he helped a wide range of clients with legal issues. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Kentucky where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.
Nathan has been named a Super Lawyers® Rising Star every year since 2013. He was selected as a 2017 Kentucky Super Lawyers® Rising Star for general personal injury by his peers in the legal community.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
