Edward "Eddy" Thompson started practicing law at a small law firm in Lexington, Kentucky. Having worked his way through law school as a runner and clerk at the firm, they accepted him on as an associate upon admission to the Kentucky Bar. He continued to work there until becoming partner in 2003. His partnership continued until 2007 when the partnership dissolved. At that point he set up his own practice of Thompson Law Office which was a sole proprietorship until his sister and fellow lawyer, Dori Thompson, joined the firm in 2011 where they continue work as a team to this day.
