Overview

For 15 years, Joseph (“Joey”) Johnsen represented doctors and hospitals in defense litigation. After becoming a partner at his firm, he decided to change course and focus on representing individuals in claims against insurance companies.

Since 2022, Joey has resolved six cases for $1.2 million or more on behalf of Tennessee residents. He has tried cases as first-chair counsel in both state and federal courts in Tennessee. His experience includes personal injury, premises liability, class actions, medical malpractice, first-party insurance claims, workers’ compensation, and healthcare regulation.
