Chris joined Tilford, Dobbins & Schmidt, PLLC in 2025, after spending 14 years at Ackerson & Yann in 201. Chris graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. Chris is a graduate of the School of Law’s Tax Controversy Program.Prior to graduation, Chris spent one year working for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Louisville where he assisted in the litigation and resolution of taxpayer issues. Chris spent four years as a Professor of both Federal Taxation and IRS Practice and Procedure at Bellermine University in Louisville. His primary areas of practice are federal and state tax controversies, including audit representation, collections matters, transactional law, real estate, probate and estate planning.
