Overview

Gracie J. Ovington, née Davis, grew up in Scott County, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and History, Summa Cum Laude, from Morehead State University, and Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law.

While at Morehead, Ovington founded and served as the first president of the Women in Law club. She also worked as the Student Coordinator of the Pro Se Divorce Clinic, a collaboration between the Legal Studies Department and Legal Aid of the Bluegrass.

Prior to attending law school, Ovington interned with the Commonwealth Attorney’s office and clerked at Hicks & Funfsinn, a personal injury firm.

At Brandeis, Ovington interned with Federal Magistrate Judge Regina Edwards. She also was a student instructor through the Central High Street Law program, research assistant, teaching assistant, and member of the Human Rights Advocacy Program. Ovington served as an Articles Editor for the University of Louisville Law Review for Volume 63. She began her time at Strause Law Group as a law clerk while a student at Brandeis.

As an Associate Attorney at Strause Law Group, Ovington is honored to represent clients in a broad range of legal matters, including Professional Licensure Defense, Business Transactions and Disputes, Healthcare Law, Employment Law, and Contracts.

Outside of the office, she enjoys time with friends and family, arts and crafts, and reading.
