Hired Attorney 2020-2021I was catastrophically injured in a car accident on March 13, 2020. On March 18 I hired Mr. D' Aunoy Jr. Strangely, he refused to file a complaint in court despite my numerous requests to do so until December of that year when I warned him that I was going to terminate him. This man is extremely selfish, greedy, and deceptive. Although he was supposed to represent me - his client, D'Aunoy represented himself only. He ignored my requests to explain his billing practices when he charged me $13.50 for the police report I had sent him free of charge the previous year, or $400 from the Orthopedic Care Center, although the Center claimed that that sum had been included in the overall bill. There were other charges for the documents that I had received from medical providers free of charge. He lies a lot, to the point that I have stopped believing him. His favored medium of communication is silence. When I asked him to explain something he would pretend to be deaf. When the settlement offer arrived from the defendants, he ignored my numerous requests for the document, thus denying me an opportunity to make an informed decision. There were other phony charges. On numerous occasions, I asked him to resign from the case. He ignored me. Finally, I filed complaint against him with the Louisiana Disciplinary Board, and later, I dismissed him. What an odious figure!
