Overview

Brittany N. Odom is a New Orleans native who has worked in immigration law since 2014 when she began her career as the immigration legal services manager for Gulf Coast Center for Law and Policy in Louisiana’s Northshore region. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009 from Dillard University in New Orleans where she studied Mass Communications and English. After obtaining an Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Tulane University in 2012, Ms. Odom went on to study Louisiana civil law as part of the evening program at Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans. During her tenure at Loyola, Ms. Odom was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team and won Best Opening Statement and Best Team Overall in the 2015 Intramural Competition. She is also an active member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and served as the Magister for PDP’s Black Inn. Ms. Odom was a student practitioner in the Stuart H. Smith Center for Social Justice’s Immigration Legal Clinic and volunteered with Southern Poverty Law Center’s Southeast Immigration Freedom Initiative. Ms. Odom graduated from Loyola College of Law with a Juris Doctor and Certificate of Immigration and Citizenship Law and Practice in May 2018, and was admitted to practice in the state of Louisiana in October 2018.
