Attorney Information

Overview

Molly C. Liberto joined Ware Immigration in 2025 after working as an attorney advisor at the New Orleans Immigration Court. She earned her law degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. While in law school, Molly was treasurer for the Environmental Law Society, a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and a member of the Maritime Law Journal. She also studied immigration law at Loyola Law.

Molly has been interested in international issues and languages throughout her previous career and during her undergraduate and graduate studies. At Saint Louis University, Molly triple majored in Political Science, International Studies and French, and studied abroad at Laval University in Québec. She then decided to go into education, and while working as a teacher earned her M.A. in Education and Innovation focusing on global citizenship. Molly spent twenty years as a classroom teacher in the United States and France. Most notably, she taught English as a foreign language as a Fulbright Scholar in Paris and worked as a teacher of gifted at Lycée Français de la Nouvelle Orléans. Molly is especially proud to have begun her career working with homeless families in San Diego on the Mexican border as a Jesuit Volunteer, which in part inspired her to study law decades later. She loves applying the knowledge and skills gained from her previous career and education to her law practice. Molly lives in New Orleans with her husband and three amazing children. When not practicing law, you can find her supporting her children at football, soccer and baseball games.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
