Emily Downs is a Bastrop native who graduated from Louisiana State University with her Bachelor of Science Degree in 2017. Emily then received her Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in May 2020. She also holds a graduate diploma in Comparative Law.
While in law school, Emily gained valuable experience working at the Louisiana Department of Justice under Attorney General Jeff Landry in the Public Protection Division. She also completed an externship under Judge Phillip M. Lester in Bastrop City Court.
Emily attended Ouachita Christian School and returned to northeast Louisiana after receiving her degrees. She has since made Monroe her home. Emily is a passionate attorney who cares tremendously about both her clients and community.
