Hired Attorney 2025-2026Bloom Legal was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with throughout my matter. From the initial consultation, they were clear about the process, realistic about expectations, and responsive to my questions. The team took the time to understand my situation and explain my options in a way that made sense. Communication was consistent, and I always felt informed and supported. If you’re looking for a law firm that combines strong legal skills with clear communication and client care, Bloom Legal is an excellent choice.

Hired Attorney 2017As I fought Louisiana's Largest White Collar Crime case in the history of Louisiana, I hired Seth Bloom to join my extensive legal team... HUGE mistake... Seth added zero legal value to the team except a funny joke to break the tension every once in a while as he sipped on his Starbucks fumbling for anything of actual value to add to the legal team. I was consistently overcharged and over-billed until the remaining legal team was tired of the dead weight added by Seth and him not being able to add any actual value or meet his deadlines on research or assignments. It was like having a grown child on the team when I was facing the fight of a lifetime... 164 Felonies in 4 Parishes and 1,465 years of potential jail time. After firing him and trying to get the escrow money back and duplicate over-billed charges while I was fighting the battle from behind bars, Seth refused to be honest and reconcile his charges because he knew I was not in a position to pursue him... Once I ended up beating the largest white-collar crime case with a new legal team and a 22-month fight... I was released from jail and he knew he was in major trouble as my attorney and I had to threaten to report him to the LA Bar Association he quickly apologized, and blamed it on a pain pill addiction he had (you can google this for more info) and refunded me his unscrupulous billings. I guess he thought it was his opportunity to get a short-term loan, hoping maybe it would turn into being long-term if I didn't win. He thinks he's a politician and attorney but he's nothing but an adult-sized kid who schmoozes his way into pretending he knows the law and fine-tuned marketing, but that's as deep as it goes... Buyer Beware!! I'll be glad to discuss the details personally with anyone who wants more details and proof before making the same mistake.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
