Overview
Neal J. Kling, a Member of the firm, received his undergraduate degree in Business and Public Administration from Louisiana State University and his law degree from Louisiana State University Law Center where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the Louisiana Law Review. He represents clients in the areas of secured financing transactions, maritime construction and finance, real property and personal property leasing, real estate transactions, and other commercial transactions.
Mr. Kling is current President of the American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys, a Member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a member of Louisiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association's and Section of Business Law, and a Proctor Member of the Maritime Law Association. In the ABA's Section of Business Law serves as Co-Chair of the Section's Programs Board. He is a member of the Maritime Financing Committee of the Maritime Law Association. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane Law School, where he teaches Vessel Documentation & Finance. He has been a frequent speaker at numerous American Bar Association and other meetings.

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
