Legal experts that were able to properly advise me on a complicated divorce. My only regret is that I didn’t hire them first to handle the case as that would have saved time, money and frustration.

Mr. Daniel Renart represented me in a complex case and was able to secure a favorable settlement for me. The case took many different unexpected turns, yet Mr. Renart was on top of it all, and he did a phenomenal job from beginning to end. He advocated for me excellently. He was thorough, always well prepared, honest, knowledgeable, skilled, and supportive. I am well pleased and highly recommend this top-notch attorney.

Attorney Herriott was responsive and available throughout my divorce process. He was always measured and he provided sound advice that was practical and level-headed. He was reassuring and calm. His staff members were very responsive as well. I gave 4.5 stars only because I would really have appreciated being able to have a first-time consultation without having to pay the full hourly rate. I understand that legal services are very expensive; you're paying for time as well as expertise. But at least the first consult should be deeply discounted, if not gratis.

Thank you for your positive review. It is much appreciated. With regard to your comment about the costs associated with the first-time consultation, we are of the opinion that our time, like your time, is valuable. The initial consultations are scheduled for one hour (and oftentimes go over the hour) and much information is provided during them. We provide a valuable service and taking into consideration the time, effort and information provided during the initial consultations, as well as the time the initial consultations take away from our existing clients, we, as professionals, expect fair compensation for the services provided. Finally, we very much appreciate the trust you placed in our firm.

Mr Herriott and Ms Reinecke were absolute lifesavers during one of the toughest periods of my life. Their professionalism, empathy and honesty were truly commendable. I felt heard and supported every step of the way, and their guidance helped me navigate the complex divorce process with clarity and confidence. I am forever grateful for their expertise.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
