Carol has pursued justice for victims of asbestos exposure for over 35 years. Carol began her career with the firm as a Litigation Paralegal assigned to Abate 1, one of the nation’s largest consolidated trials of more than 8,500 Maryland asbestos diseases cases. Carol worked on numerous asbestos trials resulting in multimillion dollar verdicts. Carol met with clients, got to know their families, went to their homes and saw firsthand how people suffered and was driven to become an advocate to fight for justice on their behalf

For over 25 years, as an Asbestos Litigation Attorney, Carol, working with her colleagues at Peter Angelos Law, has recovered millions of dollars for the firm’s clients. Carol has achieved numerous multimillion dollar jury verdicts and pre verdict settlements in asbestos litigation including asbestos talcum powder litigation. Carol completed pre-trial discovery depositions of homeowners with claims against Exxon Mobil Corporation for contaminated wells from a 26,000-gallon gasoline leak that resulted in a $1.5 billion-dollar verdict.

In addition to litigation, Carol has served as the Co-Head of the Serious Case Unit and Intake Department and is the Head Attorney of the firm’s Asbestos Bankruptcy Department. Carol is an active member of 13 Trust Advisory Committees (TACs) that oversee the trusts established by former manufacturers and sellers of asbestos containing products that filed for bankruptcy. The TACs provide oversight to the trusts and verify the trusts are administered appropriately. In addition to her professional responsibilities Carol gives back as a pro-bono evaluator for asbestos bankruptcy trusts. She is continually invited by the trusts to provide independent assessments for injured workers’ claims.
