Attorney Information
Overview
Attorney Demetrios Karas has a long history of repeated legal success against some of the largest corporations in the country.
In 2011, he was an integral part of a trial team which received a jury verdict of over $1.5 Billion dollars, stemming from the toxic groundwater contamination of water supply wells used by families for bathing and drinking. Karas would go on to help hundreds of more families and individuals receive settlements for groundwater contamination cases, over the following years. His legal success then continued, and between 2017 and 2020, he experienced repeated victories in the courtroom and obtained $19.5 million dollars in trial verdicts for victims of mesothelioma and asbestos exposure.
Since 2020, Karas has helped hundreds of more individuals settle claims, in some of the largest personal injury cases, class actions and multidistrict litigations across the country. His legal victories have helped shape the law and have become legal precedent. (eg. Wallace and Gale Settlement Trust v. Busch; 464 MD 474, 2019). Karas now spearheads the firm’s mass tort litigation unit and team.
