M. Natalie McSherry - Baltimore, MD

Ms. McSherry is a Principal in the Firm. Her practice is concentrated in commercial litigation and health care. For more than 30 years, she has litigated a variety of matters, including malpractice claims brought against health care providers. She also has extensive experience defending health care providers in licensing actions and has appeared before the Board of Physicians, the Dental Board, Board of Nursing, and the Board of Examiners of Psychologists, as well as the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality. She has handled all aspects of credentialing--advising health care providers and hospital boards of trustees with regard to medical staff by-laws.

In addition to her broad experience in health care, Ms. McSherry has handled professional liability claims involving various professions, claims against railroads, condemnation cases, and a variety of commercial disputes. She has litigated civil cases in federal court, in most of Maryland's counties, and in Baltimore City. In recognition of her trial experience, Ms. McSherry was elected to the American College of Trial Lawyers in 2005. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Commercial Litigation, Health Care Law, and Medical Malpractice Law. She also is listed in Maryland Super Lawyers 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 as one of the State's top 50 attorneys and top 25 women attorneys, and listed as one of the State's top 10 attorneys in 2010.

Ms. McSherry graduated from the Manhattanville College in 1971, and graduated with honor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1974. She has held offices and board and committee positions with the ABA, and the Maryland and Baltimore City Bar Associations. She served on the Maryland State Board of Law Examiners from 1980 – 1985. Ms. McSherry served on several Maryland and federal judicial selection committees and on the Maryland Judicial Selection Commission for Baltimore City. She also serves on the Board of Maryland Volunteer Lawyers, and numerous other professional and civic endeavors.

Ms. McSherry has briefed and argued numerous cases in Maryland's Court of Special Appeals, Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
