Overview
As one of the senior asbestos personal injury litigators who has been with the Angelos firm since 1987, Steve Smith has been helping clients recover damages for their injuries from exposures to asbestos products in industrial, commercial and residential settings and from the use of asbestos contaminated talcum powder. Steve has handled all aspects of the litigation, including medical and scientific expert testimony, discovering extensive asbestos company knowledge of asbestos dangers and developing asbestos product identification and exposure in trial and pre-trial work. He helped litigate the two large Baltimore City Asbestos Consolidation trials and has practiced in Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, New York and elsewhere in state and federal courts.
Smith’s background in construction and automotive work prior to being a lawyer has afforded him the opportunity to better understand his clients’ work histories and assist them in recovering the rewards they deserve for the wrongful acts that have been committed against them. Steve is proud to have represented innumerable union members and other clients who have been injured.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys reading, golfing, skiing, traveling, spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. He is originally from Stockton, California, and has attended the University of California, University of Colorado and George Washington University in Washington, DC.
