For more than forty years, Tom has aggressively sought justice for injured individuals throughout Maryland. Working with his colleagues at Peter Angelos Law, Tom has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for the firm’s clients.
With Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer review rating for Professional Excellence and Ethical Standards, Tom has achieved: Multiple eight figure jury verdicts, numerous seven figure jury verdicts and scores of seven figure pre-verdict settlements. Notable among these cases is Class Counsel, Eason v. Royal Financial Services, Inc., Circuit Court for Baltimore City, (certified class action-predatory mortgage lending).
Additionally, Tom has authored and co-authored numerous appellate briefs (eg. Wallace and Gale Settlement Trust v. Busch; 464 MD 474, 2019), and argued multiple cases before the Supreme Court of Maryland and the Appellate Court of Maryland.
Kelly has been a critical member of various litigations teams, including the 3M Combat Arms Earplug Litigation Team, the Camp Lejeune Litigation Team, Trial Team Abate I, one of the nation’s largest consolidated trials of more than 8,500 Maryland asbestos disease cases and Trial Team Abate II, a consolidated trial of 2,300 Maryland asbestos disease cases.
As a leading asbestos attorney, Kelly has delivered presentations before nationwide conventions of asbestos plaintiffs’ attorneys. Kelly now serves as the Head of Peter Angelos Law Serious Case Unit and Intake Department.
