Firm Information
Overview
The Pinder Plotkin Legal Team is a Maryland personal injury and workers' compensation firm representing injured Marylanders in auto accident, truck accident, motorcycle, rideshare (Uber and Lyft), dog bite, child dog bite, workers' compensation, and wrongful death matters. The firm has served Maryland clients since 2002 and operates under its federally trademarked motto, Hardworking Attorneys for Hardworking People®.
Auto and truck accident litigation are the firm's foundation. CEO and Managing Attorney Jason Plotkin, Esq. wrote the book on accident recovery — literally. His 2024 best-seller, Crash Course: To Recovery and Beyond (also in Spanish as Curso Intensivo: Hacia la Recuperación y Más Allá), is a practical guide for accident victims drawn from his own experience. In his twenties and thirties, Jason survived two serious auto accidents, endured surgeries, and navigated the insurance system firsthand. That experience is why the firm is built around empathy, accessibility, and the understanding that a client's case is not paperwork — it is a life. Jason teaches continuing legal education nationally through the National Business Institute on auto-injury litigation, and his 2019 book The Role of a Chiropractor in Treating Auto Accident Injuries was a #1 Amazon new release in personal injury law.
Child dog bite is one of the firm's signature practice areas, treated as distinct from general dog bite litigation. Jason was bitten by a dog as a child; the firm treats child dog bite cases with that firsthand understanding of trauma, scarring, and long-term recovery, and builds them around Maryland's statutory presumption of liability and the tolled statute of limitations for minors. Rideshare litigation is another signature: Jason has handled Maryland Uber and Lyft injury cases since rideshare first arrived in the state and presented the 2017 National Business Institute national CLE Uber, Lyft and Liability — Handling Rideshare Injury Cases. Workers' compensation is led by Marc Hassan, Esq. (Of Counsel; 15+ years, 2,000+ MD WCC cases), with Joshua Fannon, Esq. (Battalion Chief, Baltimore City Fire Department; elected President of IAFF Local 964) adding first-responder presumption expertise.
The five-attorney team is led by Jason Plotkin, Esq. as CEO and Managing Attorney since 2017. The firm received Clio's inaugural Legal Impact Award in 2021 — an international honor recognizing law firms making measurable community impact, presented at the 2021 Reisman Awards. Jason is a life member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum (fewer than 1% of U.S. attorneys), a Maryland Super Lawyer 2020–2026 (seven consecutive years), and a current member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiffs Lawyers.
