Mr. Nudelman specializes in the area of tax planning, estate planning, probate and trust administration, elder law, business and succession planning. He is a member of the adjunct faculty of George Washington University School of Law since 1992 where he teaches two courses (Federal Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning). Beyond his academic appointments, he is the author of Federal Taxation of Estates, Gifts and Trusts, 6th Edition, published by the American Law Institute/American Bar Association in 1999 and co-author of the Complete Estate Planning Guide and Workbook , published by Professional Tax and Business Publications in 1999 and supplemented bi-annually. His articles have appeared in Estate Planning and Tax Management, Estate, Gifts and Trusts Journal . A guest commentator on tax matters for CNN, Mr. Nudelman has also been recognized by Washingtonian magazine as among the 'Who's Who' of the estate and tax lawyers in the Washington metropolitan area.
Mr. Nudelman handles matters involving:
- Advising and preparing simple and complex trusts spanning multiple generations involving tax and non-tax planning considerations
- Charitable and Endowment funding
- Intra family transactions such as family limited partnerships and other business entities designed for wealth transfer and asset protection for the family
- Estate and trust administration, including tax return preparation
- Business and personal tax planning
- Audits of estate and trust matters before the Internal Revenue Service
- Pre and post martial agreements
- Divorce tax matters
- Mediation of family disputes
