Nicholas Fobe - Bethesda, MD

Mr. Fobe has over thirty years of experience advising clients on estate planning and estate and trust administration issues, with a particular focus on clients working in the United States on G-4 visas for an international organization. He frequently counsels clients on the impact of those laws have on non-U.S. citizens living in the United States, or living abroad but owning property here, or returning to their home countries after having lived in the United States.

Mr. Fobe was a frequent and sought-after lecturer on estate planning and estate and gift taxation at various international organizations including the World Bank, IMF, IDB, OAS, PAHO, Intelsat, and their respective credit unions. He grew up in Belgium, where he learned French, Flemish, English and German. Through his Uruguayan wife, he is currently improving his Spanish. Mr. Fobe studied law at the universities of Fordham (NY), Georgetown (Washington, DC) and Exeter (UK) and is admitted to the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia bars. In addition to his frequent public speaking engagements, Mr. Fobe has taught a course on Wills and Estates for the Paralegal program at Georgetown University. He recently became “Of Counsel” with Chisholm Law Group, LLC.
