Handles matters in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, and Howard Counties
Experience since 1989 in family law handling divorce, custody, property division, modifications of existing Orders, drafting Marital Settlement Agreements, and litigating contentious matters.
Also an experienced mediator, having completed the basic and advanced courses in property and custody mediation over 25 years ago, with annual updated education courses. On the Court referral
lists for both Anne Arundel and Howard counties and handling private mediations in other counties, as well.
Served as appointed Guardian Ad Litem for children in divorce cases in the most difficult matters that the Court chose to send for her work, then later as a Best Interest Attorney for minor children.
Certified in Collaborative Law, an excellent option to the more traditional divorce approach for over 18 years.
Certified as a Parent Coordinator since 2020, with experience in handling difficult interactions between parents.
Member local bar associations, she founded the Women's Bar Association of Howard County in 1990 and founded the Inns of Court there in 1989, both of which remain as active groups supporting the attorneys who continue to enjoy the opportunities afforded.
Graduate of Western Maryland College, with a BA in political science; University of Baltimore School of Law - JD
Admitted to the MD bar in 12/83, and to the Federal Bar in 4/87 and to the Supreme Court in 1/90
Life long resident of Maryland, with 2 wonderful adult children and a crazy rescue dog named Dolly. Was an active volunteer with Severna Park sports and music, as well as the school PTA's and other related groups.
She enjoys charity work with the Oriole Advocates for the past 35 years -heading the annual Orioles Hall of Fame Luncheon, watching and attending local sports, scrapbooking.
