Attorney Information

Overview

My practice is primarily concentrated on personal injury, criminal, traffic and family law matters. I received my B.B.A. degree from the University of Miami, Florida and received my J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law in Long Island, New York. I have been involved in numerous cases before the Court, serving many different needs for my clients. At an extremely young age, I always dreamed about practicing law with my father, who has 40 years of experience. I knew from the beginning that we would be a successful father-son team. I have been fortunate enough to quickly learn his art of the practice of law, that he is so widely known for in the area. In most firms, a young associate is usually only involved in a part of a case, delegating the more important part to a senior associate or a partner. The result is that in many of those cases, the younger associate never witnesses the end result of that case. However, I have been fortunate to be involved in all phases of my clients' cases, thereby guiding the client through all of the twists and turns that each case invariably takes. This has given me a better perspective of what is required in order to achieve a favorable result for my clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
