Overview
Aron Zavaro is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park. Following law school, he was fortunate to clerk for the D.C. Superior Court Senior Judges, where he managed caseloads for 14 judges and developed a breadth of knowledge across a range of legal fields. Aron has represented youths charged with crimes in D.C. Superior Court, and has worked on the development of the litigation strategy in a fraud and conversion lawsuit in which he successfully defended his client’s claims in pre-trial litigation. Aron has advocated on behalf of tenants whose landlords violated D.C. housing codes, and has assisted clients in breach of contract and trust litigations.
At Thatcher Zavaro & Mani, Aron handles all types of employment law matters—for both employees and employers—including discrimination, harassment, disability, whistleblower protection, and wage and hour claims. He supports clients in dealing with regulatory and employment law issues. His clients include employees and employers, large and small, across the D.C. Metro Area, Maryland and Virginia. In addition to civil rights and employment litigation, Aron also assists clients with a broad range of general business and legal matters.
Aron is an accomplished former gymnast and a two-time Junior Olympics competitor. He has also performed work as a stunt double on major television shows such as Gossip Girl and Flesh and Bone.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
