Aron Zavaro is a partner at Thatcher Zavaro & Mani. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park. Following law school, Aron served as a law clerk to the Senior Judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
Aron is an experienced litigator who represents both employees and employers in a broad range of matters in state and federal court, administrative proceedings, arbitration, and mediation. His practice encompasses a wide variety of cases including discrimination and harassment, disability accommodations, whistleblower protections, False Claims Act retaliation, wage and hour issues, trade secret misappropriation, licensed and tenured educators, contractual disputes, and labor matters arising under collective bargaining agreements. He also regularly negotiates employment-related disputes and advises clients on regulatory, compliance, and general business matters. His experience representing both employees and employers gives him a balanced perspective and allows him to assess disputes from multiple angles.
Aron has also served as a third-party neutral in workplace disputes involving allegations of sexual harassment, race and national origin discrimination, and retaliation. He has conducted independent investigations and prepared comprehensive assessments, findings, and recommendations.
Aron is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and New York. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for his work in employment law.
