Overview
Shawn Vinson brings a diverse and highly respected background in estate matters and civil litigation to the firm. He has extensive experience handling a wide range of estate-related issues as well as complex civil litigation, and has appeared before the Appellate Court of Maryland and numerous trial courts throughout the State.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Vinson served as an Assistant State’s Attorney, where he gained significant courtroom experience and a deep understanding of Maryland law. His litigation background also includes matters involving asbestos, lead paint, and personal injury claims. In addition, he has handled forfeiture and replevin actions and cases arising under the Maryland Public Information Act.
Mr. Vinson is a retired law enforcement officer, a role that provided him with a strong foundation in public service, investigative work, and client advocacy. His professional experience further includes work with the public school system and government relations involving the Maryland State Legislature, giving him valuable insight into the intersection of law, policy, and community interests.
He is an active member of the Maryland Bar and remains deeply committed to professional and community service. Mr. Vinson serves on the Calvert Hall College High School Board of Trustees and is a Board Member and Secretary of the Family Crisis Center of Baltimore County. He is also a member of FOP Lodge #4, the Harford County Association of Realtors, and the Peer Review Committee of the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission. He previously volunteered as an attorney with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service.
Mr. Vinson’s broad legal experience, public service background, and commitment to the community make him a valuable asset to both the firm and the clients he serves.
