Overview
I began as an Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore City. When I left I began my own practice of criminal and drunk driving law. Because I am recognized for trying cases, my tag reads "No Plea." Most attorneys try to enter and exit court as quickly as they can. My goal is to get my clients the finest result possible. It is a lot more fun trying cases than pleading them. Lawyers who try cases get better results when they have to plead them. If you read my Blog you will see I try cases. My job is two-fold. It is to save your ass, but also to keep you from coming back again. I spend all the time we need to prepare the programs you usually need for mitigation and to improve your life so you don't need a criminal lawyer again. Be prepared to spend an hour or two with me because that is what it takes and should take at an initial consultation. I have been selected every year for Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. In 2024 I was selected as Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. They gave it to me again in 2025, but then called and said they can only award it once to any lawyer. It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
