Overview

Cornelius J. Madera, III (“Cory”) has extensive trial experience in criminal and civil litigation. Cory previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Cape and Islands District, prosecuting both adult and juvenile matters, while serving as primary trial prosecutor of all juvenile jury cases. Since 2005, Cory has represented clients in all areas of criminal defense across Massachusetts, ranging from all forms of violent and non-violent felonies and misdemeanors, including sexual assaults, white collar crimes, drug offenses and operating under the influence charges. He has also been designated in 2014 and 2015 as a New England Super Lawyer “Rising Star.”

Cory specializes in a wide range of administrative/government agency appeals, including, in particular, his work on Registry of Motor Vehicles matters, where he has obtained numerous successful results in license suspension appeals and hardship license requests to the Board of Appeal on Liability Policies and Bonds, the Massachusetts Superior Court, and at the appellate court level. Further, since his work as part of the Northeastern University School of Law Prisoners’ Rights Clinic, Cory has continued to represent numerous clients in life parole hearings in front of the Massachusetts Parole Board.
