Attorney Information
Overview
I have worked at Sheehan, Schiavoni, Jutras, and Magliocchetti, LLP for over 20 years, assisting in and learning the art of untangling real estate, probate, and family law challenges. Fueled by my desire to use my knowledge and experience in the law, with my family’s encouragement, I turned a lifelong dream into a reality by graduating from Massachusetts School of Law. Armed with a Juris Doctor in addition to my degree in Business Administration from Merrimack College, this experience furthered my passion for the law and my ability to assist others.
Due to working towards this career later in life, I have a unique perspective of life’s twists and turns firsthand. Witnessing my own parents’ divorce and the complexities involved has helped me gain an understanding and a drive for family law, as well as an understanding of the importance of clients having the financial security necessary to maintain their desired quality of life, as well as having an Estate Plan in place to provide financial security for their children. My goal is not just to represent clients but also to guide them through life’s complex transitions. I hope to use knowledge, empathy and my expertise to guide my clients through separation of property and estate management.
Hobbies such as competitive tennis and traveling to new destinations keep me sharp and open minded to find the best possible solutions for my clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
