Quincy Insurance Defense Law Firm
Overview
Regan & Kiely LLP was founded in 1994 when Joseph A. Regan and Robert E. Kiely left one of Massachusetts' largest law firms to establish their own firm in Boston.
The firm provides aggressive legal services in numerous areas of law. The attorneys at Regan & Kiely are trial lawyers who represent insurance companies, large institutional clients, smaller self-insured businesses and individuals, in all the courts of the Commonwealth as well as in mediations and arbitrations. The firm has built its reputation on a combination of outstanding results, personal attention, and communication with clients at each step of their case, provided at competitive rates.
The firm's diverse practice also includes representing businesses in commercial litigation matters, serving as local counsel for well-known national companies, and representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic personal injuries. The firm recognizes that often the most cost efficient result for a client is an early assessment followed by a prompt, fair resolution. To that end the lawyers at Regan & Kiely combine aggressive representation with a keen awareness of the client's best interests.
Both Mr. Regan and Mr. Kiely hold the Martindale-Hubbell AV rating, the highest possible professional rating for legal ability and ethics. More information on the firm can also be found at the Martindale-Hubbell website.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
