Teresa A. Hedley - Waltham, MA

As an associate of Cushing & Dolan’s Waltham office, Teresa Hedley assists individuals and families in developing estate plans that protect their assets, minimize estate taxes, avoid probate, and preserve wealth for future generations. As part of the firm’s estate planning practice, she assists in drafting planning documents such as trusts, wills, incapacity documents, and real estate-related instruments. Teresa also assists with the administration of clients’ trusts of which the firm is a Trustee.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and her Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law. Teresa’s background in accounting informs her approach to the tax-sensitive aspects of estate planning. While in law school, her Trial Advocacy Team was awarded 1st runner up at the Northeast Black Law Students Constance Baker Motley Mock Trial Competition. Prior to joining the firm, Teresa interned with the Honorable Fairlie Dalton of the Northeast Housing Court, as well as with the Legal Department at Red Hat. She previously worked for a small boutique firm as a legal assistant.
