Mr. Houlihan has represented businesses, organizations and individuals in various civil matters including personal injury, insurance defense and subrogation primarily related to premises liability, product liability and motor vehicle liability. He has worked exclusively in litigation conducting extensive discovery including the taking and defending of depositions of both fact and expert witnesses. Mike has prepared and tried numerous cases. He has researched, drafted and argued motions to dismiss, motions to compel and motions for summary judgment. His litigation practice today includes representing both plaintiffs as well as defendants in multiple jurisdictions in New England.
In addition to his formal legal training and experience, Mike brings a business and investigatory background to his practice having worked as the director of operations for a non-profit international system of fraternities assisting in the managing a $500,000 budget, ensuring chapters remained compliant with policies and by-laws, investigating complaints, and initiating disciplinary or revocation hearings, when necessary, while working closely with students, alumni and university officials and traveling throughout the United States and Canada conducting site visits as a consultant for the governing board.
Mr. Houlihan is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he obtained ha BS in Crime, Law & Justice, and his JD from Suffolk University Law School.
