Attorney Information

Overview

My name is Christine Griggs Narcisse. I have been a lawyer since 1991, but have been employed in the field of workers' compensation since 1981, and in Massachusetts since 1984. I handled WC claims for Liberty Mutual as an adjuster, claims supervisor and home office examiner for over 8 years, and then worked for 2 years as a law clerk handling conciliation appearances for Travelers. Since graduating from Suffolk University Law School I have represented injured workers exclusively, handling their workers' compensation claims at the Department of Industrial Accidents. I chose McGuire & McGuire to work for over 27 years ago because I believed that the firm was the best in its field in Massachusetts, and I still believe that to be true. I wanted to join the best because I too am passionate about my representation, and understand the devistating effect an injury can have on an individual and their family. I have the experience to make a difference.
Since coming to McGuire & McGuire I have also developed an expertise in the filing of Accidental Disability Retirement applications for public employees permanently injured in the performance of their duties. I therefore frequently appear before various retirement boards around the Commonwealth, as well as before the Division of Administrative Law Appeals.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
