Hired Attorney 2018-2025Do you have any idea what I’ve been through? Do you even care? Jeremy Kennedy should have won all parts of my case and instead he intentionally didn’t use the facts that I gave him. He allowed the defense attorneys to present lies, red herrings and fraud to the judges at every turn who believed them and ruled against me for no reasoning except lies. My name has been attacked and impersonated daily for years and it’s worse now because of Jeremy. I hired him to defend me, not to defend the opposition. Betrayal trauma is real and I was betrayed by him for no reason. He kept giving false promises saying he was going to file documents when he never did. It’s not his name that’s suffering, it’s mine and that is not fair, nor just to me because of his mistakes. Instead of him taking his anger and passive aggression out on me, the victim, when I was presenting him facts, he should have taken it out on the defense attorneys and won the millions that I deserve. Every time I talked to him, I always felt worse and I question if he was working for the opposition? I should have represented myself and I would be in less pain and suffering.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
