Alexander Kemp understands that behind every case is a person and a family going through one of the most difficult times of their lives. He is committed to guiding his clients through the process with honesty and compassion while fighting to hold every responsible party accountable. Alexander is one of fewer than 90 attorneys in the entire U.S. who is Board-Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (an ABA Accredited Lawyer Certification Program). He focuses on catastrophic and wrongful death truck and car crash cases. Alexander has obtained over 20 seven-figure recoveries, including the highest reported settlement in Michigan in 2024. His recent multi-million-dollar victories include an $8.5 million wrongful death settlement and an $8 million settlement that was the largest of its kind ever in Michigan. Alexander regularly litigates claims against motor carriers, brokers and freight forwarders, road construction companies, and other corporate defendants. He is ranked among the Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Stars, an award that is based on “ambition, drive, determination and accomplishments.” He has been named to the Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys under 40,” “Top 40 under 40” and Trucking-Top.” Alexander is named among the Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit by DBusiness Magazine. A member of the AAJ Truck Litigation Group and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, Alexander frequently speaks at legal conferences across the country on topics related to commercial motor vehicle litigation.

Alex prides himself on providing every client with the care and compassion they deserve during the difficult time after an accident. He believes that taking the time to listen to each client and providing excellent communication and information throughout litigation is what allows him to provide the most effective legal representation possible. Alex will fight for his clients against insurance companies and defense lawyers until they’re are completely satisfied and have received the best possible result.
Legal Experience
Alex has been with the firm for several years, beginning as a law clerk. While in law school, he had the opportunity to first chair a felony jury trial at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in Detroit. Prior to attending law school, he was a judicial intern for the Honorable Ronald Lowe in the 35th District Court. Alex is also an Assistant Coach of the TYLA Mock Trial Team at Wayne State University Law School.
