Attorney Information
Overview
With 25 years of legal experience, Attorney Brad Sysol brings a wealth of information and insight to the legal team at Herbert Machnik. Brad began his legal career after graduating summa cum laude from Cooley Law School in 1998. After being admitted to the State Bar that same year, Brad started working in litigation at a mid-sized firm defending business clients against federal and state employment discrimination claims. After leaving that firm, Brad continued building his litigation acumen as a litigation partner at an Am Law 200 law firm serving as council on a broad variety of litigation matters including class actions and mass tort claims, enforcement of non-compete agreements, complex commercial, contract, and intellectual property claims, construction disputes and real estate claims. Prior to joining the team at Herbert Machnik, Brad served as general counsel to a large health organization where he advised the Board of Directors and the Senior Leadership team in addition to developing and managing legal strategy, contracts, and organizational policies central to the success of the business.
Attorney Sysol has been recognized by his peers for legal excellence as demonstrated by being awarded the AV Preeminent designation (the highest available) through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating system. Brad has also been named to the Best Lawyers in America list under the Commercial Litigation section and has previously served as Chair of the litigation section of the State Bar of Michigan.
