Overview
Michael A. Dombos, a life-long resident of Kalamazoo, earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Albion College; and his Master in Arts Degree and Masters in Business Administration, both from Western Michigan University.
Michael’s practice is concentrated in estate settlements, estate planning, fiduciary law, guardianship and conservatorship, trust administrations, successions and decedent’s estates.
Michael holds a Certificate of Completion in Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Program issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and renews it annually and a Certificate of Completion in Elder Law Certificate Program issued by the Institute of Continuing Education, and renews it annually.
Michael is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Kalamazoo County Bar Association. Michael is also an adjunct faculty member at Western Michigan University where he teaches (Estate Planning) in the Haworth College of Business.
Michael actively volunteers with non-profit and philanthropic boards and organizations including the Kalamazoo Probation Enhancement Program (K-PEP), WMU Richmond Center for the Visual Arts, and Michigan Botanical Society.
Past volunteer involvement has included: WMU Theatre Guild; Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan; Kalamazoo Bach Festival; Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA); Kairos Dwelling (Hospice); and the Vine Neighborhood Association.
Michael is married to Ann E. Soukup and has 2 sons: Andrew and Alex.
