Attorney Information

Overview

For over 25 years, Myra Dutton has helped families and individuals navigate complex legal and educational systems. She has built her career as a dedicated education attorney and disability rights advocate, always focused on making sure her clients get the support they need.

Along the way, Myra has worked to improve communication between families and service providers. When those relationships become strained, she steps in to help rebuild trust and cooperation. Her goal is always to find solutions that serve the best interests of her clients.

She has successfully represented students in matters involving the IDEA, Section 504, and the ADA. From initial complaints to state or federal appeals, she walks with families through every step of the process.

In addition to litigation, Myra handles juvenile court matters, guardianships, and disability trusts. She enjoys tackling complex problems and brings a thoughtful, solution-focused mindset to every case she takes on.

Outside the courtroom, Myra provides education and training for parents, school staff, healthcare providers, and community advocates. She’s known for making legal topics accessible and empowering others to advocate effectively.

Earlier in her career, she served as a nonprofit CEO and higher education administrator. Even then, her primary focus remained advocacy and helping families find a path forward.

When she’s not working, Myra volunteers her time in the community. She also enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her three children and two grandchildren.
