Hired Law firm 2025I have told them repeatedly that my daughter does not live with me and that she lives out of state. The have tried repeatedly to serve her at my address regardless and now have had the process server to just place the second summons under my patio chair. When I called them they are rude and stare they are still going to file for default which you cannot do without proper service. I have the video of the server placing the summons under my patio chair. If they attempt to file for default I will appear in court on my daughters behalf and show the judge the video and advise him of the many times I have told them that she lives in Kansas. And to finally add to this, the debt is paid!!!!

Consulted Law firm 2015-2020This company is total bull. They seem to buy your debt from collection companies that charge no interest on medical bills so they can rack up unreasonable interest and finance charges. I have had many health issues, many hospital stays. The bills racked up faces and were coming from all different direction ( lab, specialist, testing hospital stay, different doctors, so on and so on. I called this company to kindly set up a payment plan. The lady was completely rude to me, told me she didn't give a care about my medical history. I have to pay my bills on time or suffer with the interest. I tried to explain myself in a calm manner and this women got rude with me and then hung up on me. I will be looking for a lawyer.

Consulted Law firm 2020Called calmly to get the matter handled. Lady that answered the phone was incredibly rude, found my situation amusing and even hung up on me before letting me know if I'm even getting anything saying I played off my debt.

Consulted Law firm 2018-2020They are horrible I should not be paying this garnishment when I was on medical leave and had insurance. They are crooks. Further more I never received court papers to appear in court so I could fight. I just one day quit getting my full paycheck.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
