    Hired Law firm 2024
I filed bankruptcy on march 2024. It was discharged Feb 2024. Here it is may 2025. They said it would take 6 months to clear my debt. Oh well that's not true. All my debts are still on my credit. Late payment history and one account on there 20 times for hard inquiry. Im doing the foot work to clear debts I filed which their information pertaining to those debts should be erased. I called them 3 times there never a paralegal available and no one calls you back. After reading the reviews i see I'm not the only one who is experiencing this crap. First I was told I had to pay 1400 cause I really didn't have much on my account. Now she tell me a year later it is 1700. So I stop paying because they not working and I had to do the work. Im not paying no one for half of service. There is no attorneys available either. Every time I try to dispute it. They say it will stay on there so what I'm paying them for again. At this point i will allow them to take me to court. I can't get a answer or phone call back. I have to take the matters in my hands now. Oh I'm pist. This was a waste of time and money. And very stressful. Transuion did they were suppose to make sir this was tooken care of. But i guess they have higher paying clients to worry about. But you can call me for a payment lol. Don't work with them they are not for us. If you know what I'm saying. I rather let someone on the street do my bankruptcy. And they suppose to be professional they are far from it. Secretary is rude. Paralegal been rude since I started. That was the red flag I ignored. She wasn't giving him my paperwork. The attorney had me email him instead. Just sad...She need to be fired... she not doing no work. Then got nerves to be rude. Cause you not handling our paperwork like she suppose to... but i know what it is. AND I WILL GET IT TOOKEN CARE OF!!!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
