Khadija Shamisa - Southfield, MI

Khadija Shamisa graduated cum laude from the Dual J.D. Program at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Khadija is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and is in the process of obtaining her license in Ontario.

Prior to law school, Khadija earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with specializations in French and Middle Eastern Studies. Her early career reflected both entrepreneurial initiative and a commitment to community engagement—she organized a TEDx conference at the University of Windsor and founded and operated a successful henna business. Throughout this time, she developed a passion for public speaking and meaningful dialogue, skills she continues to draw on in her legal practice.

Khadija was drawn to personal injury law because of its direct, human impact. She is committed to advocating for individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. She believes that effective lawyering requires empathy, clarity, and the ability to translate complex legal processes into something clients can understand and trust. Her approach is grounded in strong advocacy, thoughtful communication, and a genuine investment in her clients’ well-being.

Outside of her practice, Khadija enjoys dancing salsa, bachata, kizomba, and Afrobeats. She is also passionate about learning languages. She is currently learning Spanish while continuing to develop her proficiency in French and Arabic.
