Hired Attorney 2022-2026I had this clown represent me in two cases. This review is for the second case in which he did even worse than the first one. He is unethical, lies to me, and actually helped the defense. He is also the laziest attorney alive. This simplicity of personal injury law was still too daunting for this man. He is extremely bad at his trade. With so many options available for this type of representation you should steer clear of his office. Oh and the staff is as rude and ignorant as you will find in any office of any kind. If you want to get ignored, hung up on, and lied to this is your law firm. If you want real representation, go elsewhere and don’t look back!!!

Hired Attorney 2023-2026THE LAW FIRM OF BRIAN MUAWAD WILL LIE TO YOU, settle your case for way less than it is valued. It is utter purgatory dealing with them. The won’t return your phone calls until you threaten to go to the State Bar and report him. They are basically an insurance agents arm. I would not be surprised if the insurance companies pay them to hurt their own clients. In any correspondence you’re “lucky” enough to have with them they will be rude and act like you are bothering them! You are their CLIENT yet to them you are nothing more than a pain on the way to a payday. I signed a settlement finally after three years and although my settlement says I was paid, it has been a month and I have not been paid. I know for a fact they have been paid by the insurance company because when I did actually speak to one of his rude assistants they mistakenly let it slip he was paid. Yet, they never paid me! It’s a violation of law and ethics not to mention human decency to keep someone’s money especially if they are in need. It’s a game to him. Even when you’re hurting he could care less. They do not care about their clients and will rob you every chance they can. RUN DONT WALK AWAY. DO NOT HIRE. I WOULDNT HIRE THIS GUY TO SHINE MY SHOES let alone represent me again.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
