Hired Law firm 2021-2022I was told by several people no attorney would take on my case because it wasn't worth enough money. I was told by three attorneys the same thing. But I got lucky and was referred to Bradley Putney Attorney-at-Law. He took on my case and even though the settlement was small the satisfaction it gave me that Justice was done was very gratifying to me. Mr. Putney listened to me, explained very clearly how the case would probably go, was prompt and attentive in responding to phone calls and emails. Once he takes on your case, big or small, he's commited to you. If you are looking for a good, honest attorney you can stop looking.

Hired Law firm 2019-2020Bradley Putney was able to help us successfully work with our local zoning board in regard to some potentially very damaging zoning variance requests in our neighborhood. He was available on very short notice, and was able to quickly grasp the seriousness of the situation and suggest several proposals. He thoroughly researched the local laws and was able to produce detailed documentation for the zoning board with positive results.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
