Jeffery A. Cojocar is known throughout southeastern Michigan as an aggressive defender of his clients' rights. Whether an individual is accused of committing a crime, a divorcing parent seeks custody of his or her children or a business and/or employee is involved in contested litigation, all cases receive his focused attention.
From his office in Troy, Jeff serves the Detroit metropolitan area, including Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties. He has practiced business and commercial law since 1996 and owned his own firm for 15 years.
In business and commercial law, Mr. Cojocar helps entrepreneurs form their businesses and provides the legal services small to mid-size businesses need. In real estate and construction, he tackles landlord and tenant disputes, homeowner association disputes, zoning issues, construction and/or property sale disputes and drafts contracts.
In addition to business and commercial law, he also practices criminal and family law and helps with estate planning.
Jeff Cojocar majored in political science and minored in criminal justice and speech communications at Wayne State University, earning his Juris Doctorate at the Florida State University College of Law. He is a member of the Michigan State Bar Association, Oakland County Bar Association, Macomb County Bar Association, Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, Michigan Association for Justice and a Criminal Justice Act Panelist defense attorney, He has been listed as a Super Lawyer in the State of Michigan in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Mr. Cojocar's television appearances and/or acknowledgements include the Dr. Phil Show, Anderson Cooper, CNN, Fox News Network, CBS Evening News, and ABC World News.
