Overview
Kori Land joined LeVander in 1996 as an associate and became a shareholder in 2002. Kori concentrates her practice on municipal and government law, land use, and development. She serves as the City Attorney for the cities of Cottage Grove, Stillwater, South St. Paul, Lilydale and Sunfish Lake and as general counsel to the South Metro Fire Department. As a City Attorney, she has experience in open meeting law, data practices, ordinances, employment law, problem properties, land use, zoning & planning, economic development, residential development, public improvement projects and many other aspects of municipal law.
Kori attended law school at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she received her Juris Doctorate with honors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Kori is admitted to the bar in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and U.S. District Court District of Minnesota. She is a regular speaker at the Minnesota Association of City Attorneys’ conferences as well as at other government organizations, speaking around the state to help guide elected officials and city planners on the ever-changing issues they face. In her spare time, Kori enjoys volunteering her time at Trinity Lutheran Church and Academy in Hudson, WI, on various committees.
