Hired Law firm 2019-2023i truly believe we wouldve won my case each and every time if he had just listened to me, picked up the phone and worked as a team. the part that hurt the most was the fact that he lied to me repeatedly about things just to make himself look good. if he had told me the truth, i wouldve been able to rescue my case or go elsewhere. stated all the things he would do in my case. but he never really did any of them. he missed my trial as well as key deadlines so my case got tossed out. i realized that i cant really rely on him. he also never answered my calls or emails. i would seek counsel elsewhere. he also re-haggled for more money mid-way through. i obliged thinking it would motivate him but it didnt. Didn’t do things for my case. Missed serious deadlines Didn’t work in my case and then when I confronted him about it, he said “lawyers can’t guarantee outcomes.” Lied to me and never owned up to it. Will say whatever just to have his way. Oh this case is complicated when he makes a blunder but then says “a law student can handle it…”

Hired Law firm 2021Truly don't understand how this law firm has such good reviews when all I was told by Travis Kowitz himself was pure lies. I hired him to defend me on my second dwi. I insisted on meeting with him in person because 8,000 dollars is a lot of money to me. My biggest regret is not recording the conversation between him and I on the day I wrote the check. His last words to me in the room we met in was " we'll take it to trial if we have to" then showed me out the door. Last I ever seen of him. Next next message that I did get however was from Sydney tombers stating that she had been in contact with the prosecutor negotiating a plea deal...... when I caught a mistake in court she took me into a side room in zoom hearing and was very upset and said you need to go along with this orthis is going to turn into.... then started different sentence. I am pretty sure she did not even read the complaint because she stated to the court that I had served 2 days and when that was caught she told judge " well I don't know how that got in my paperwork ". Then later told me she was used to clients already serving the mandatory 2 days. So those of you that had good luck I am happy for. However I did not. Thanks for reading, William Luck Your Feedback

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
