When my boyfriend was wrongfully accused of a crime, Martine Law stood up for him. Their legal team helped us every step of the way. We wholeheartedly recommend them!

The service is exceptional. When I called in for a consultation, the attorney was immediately responsive to discuss my issue. He was intelligent, but at the same time happy to discuss up to a certain level in order to ensure I understood all the important issues. Being a good laywer, he has multiple clients, but he took a genuine interest in my case and I felt that I was always looked after with care and diligence. Martine Law is highly recommended!

This firm is garbage. Stole $2,000 from me and won’t answer my emails or return my calls. Better off representing yourself. They asked me to reach out via Google review to talk things through. Again, they’re cowards who won’t answer me. They just want their money and then they run. Can’t tell the difference between a Ponzi scheme and these frauds. Never recommend these guys.

This firm doesn’t have there stuff together. We didn’t sign paperwork, I got charged top dollar and didn’t even get answers. I hate bad lawyers and this firm is full of them. Or this firm fires the good lawyers

I would think twice about using this law firm. My situation was NOT complicated, but required representation. When I hired this firm to guide me through a child support modification, the only thing I received was another request to deposit funds. There is no situation that could arise that would have me recommend this firm to anyone. I terminated 2 attorney's off of my case, including the firms owner, Xavier. I hope you have better luck.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
