Overview
Ngawang Dolker joined Steven C. Thal, P.A. in 2018 specializing in immigration law. Ngawang works on family-based cases, employment-based cases, humanitarian cases, and removal defense. Ngawang has experience assisting clients with green card process, citizenship process, removal of condition, relative petition, fiancé visa, DACA, SIJS, hardship waivers, travel permits, work permits, U-visa, VAWA, TPS, asylum, National Interest Waivers, R-visas, and many other immigration reliefs.
While pursuing her political science degree, Ngawang worked at an immigration law firm as a paralegal that sparked her passion to pursue immigration law. During law school, Ngawang interned at the local immigration court where she worked with the local immigration judges and interned with the Department of Homeland Security, OPLA where she worked directly with the Assistant Chief Counsels. With exposure to all sides of immigration law, Ngawang chose to enter into private practice where she could assist clients navigate the complex immigration system. In addition to working in private practice, she volunteers through the Volunteer Lawyers Network, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, The Advocates for Human Rights, and Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota and takes on pro-bono cases.
With immigration law constantly changing, all the attorneys at the office always stays up to date by participating in Continuing Legal Education (CLE). With her background in computer science, it provides her the necessary framework and tools to best utilize technology in processing cases effectively and timely.
