Evan Nelson - Saint Paul, MN

Evan is associate attorney practicing in the areas of family law, employment law, and business law. He approaches his practice with compassion, a friendly demeanor, and an eye for details, all the while vigorously advocating for his clients’ rights. Evan has a passion for helping folks traverse the legal landscape, which can be overwhelming and full of complicated and contentious disputes, and is committed to finding the right solution for each unique circumstance.

Prior to joining Collins, Buckley, Sauntry & Haugh, Evan was a judicial law clerk in Hennepin County Family Court for several years, where he worked exclusively for Family Court Presiding Judge Theresa Couri. During his clerkship, Evan worked on divorces, custody and parenting time disputes, as well as domestic abuse and harassment matters, from which he gained invaluable experience resolving cases that involved significant conflict and intricate financial situations. In law school, Evan served as a moot court student instructor, where he began developing his abilities in litigation and advocacy.

Evan grew up in St. Paul and loved it so much that he never left the Twin Cities area. Outside of his practice, Evan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hopelessly rooting on Minnesota sports teams, and playing pickup basketball and recreational softball with his buddies.
